The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today

During Remembrance time the branch attends the following places where services are held to remember the fallen.

1. Park Road Cemetery Service

The names of all the fallen service persons are read out and a cross for each one is placed on the monument by children from one of the local schools

2. Kirk Hallam All Saints Church Service

The names of each fallen service person are read out and a cross for each one is placed on the graves by children from one of the local school

3. Stanton Road Cemetery Service

The names of each fallen service person are read out and a cross for each one is placed on the graves by children from one of the local school
