The President, Chairman, Secretary and BCS Coordinator attend the recent Folkestone Armed Forces Event held in the Nepalese Community Centre in Cheriton.

The event was organised by Councillor Jim Martin and his team from Folkestone and Hythe District Council,  with a variety of guest speakers covering subjects such as the Armed Forces Act 2026 and its effect on the Armed Forces Covenant, the history and role of the Folkestone Nepalese Community Centre, an overview of the Royal British Legion and local activities, details of free employability courses provided by RBVE Lifeworks, for Veterans and service families.  Following the meeting attendees enjoyed a superb Nepalese lunch.

The event was deemed to be a huge success with local and county groups to network and make plans to try to improve/better coordinate assistance to local veterans and their families.
