Below is a list of dates for your diary on what's happening in the Hoyland and District Branch of The Royal British Legion.

Annual Events

Remembrance Sunday  9th November 2025. 

A parade will form in the Cemetery off Kirk Balk and a short march to War Memorial where a service to remember the fallen will commence at 11am.  If you wish to join the parade please arrive at the cemetery not later than 10.30am. Following the service the parade will re-form to march to the town centre. If you do not wish to take part in the parade itself You are welcome to arrive at the War Memorial but please make way for the marching column when it arrives.

Remembrance Day/Armistice Day  

11am on 11th November 2025  2mins silence is requested

We are in Need of a Reserve Standard Bearer for this Branch. If you are reasonably fit, willing to become a Member and also willing to undergo suitable training, then we would love to hear from you. Please contact any of the officials listed.

The duty would involve being able carry the Branch Standard on Parade at various events within the Hoyland & District area.
