In November 2023, the Royal British Legion Lincolnshire County Committee awarded the Sheppard Poppy Trophy to Julian Millington for his hard work and dedication to the Lincolnshire Poppy Appeal.

Julian has been the Poppy Appeal organiser for the Horncastle & District RBL Branch since 2013 and will be handing over the role to Graham Kirkman on 1st December 2024.
