Victory in Europe 80th Anniversary

1940's Street Party Concert

 So nice to see so many filling Stanhope Hall for an evenings Street Party themed concert.

The evening started with a warm welcome from our Branch Chairman followed by a parade of the Standards.

Winston Churchill announced the end of the war in Europe and Banovallum Brass Band took it away, playing 1940's tunes. The brilliant vocalist Claudia Bush got everyone singing with many familiar songs.

In true Street Party style the Hall was decked out in Red, White and Blue bunting and flags and many came dressed in 1940's attire or Red, White and Blue.

Thanks to the Horncastle and District Lions for putting on a BBQ and to Horncastle Town Council and the Horncastle branch of the Lincolnshire Co-op for their support.

Thank you to everyone that attended to make the evening a great success.
