The Heckmondwike Branch was one of the very first to be established on 21st June 1921 only a few weeks after the creation of The British Legion on 15th May 1921.

Throughout the years we've supported Veterans and their families in our community and ensured that we continue to remember those who gave their lives from Heckmondwike both in WW1 & WW2 and other conflicts since.

Our branch members are made up of Veterans, their families and everyday people who give their time to support us in various ways.
