It’s with great sadness I have to pass on some really awful news for us all.
John Boothby after a short illness passed away on Saturday 17th December.
It’s still not sunk in as we only last met up on Remembrance Sunday. John was a great friend, sounding board and mentor, he did great things for the branch, running many successful poppy appeals, keeping the branch afloat as chairman as well as standard bearer, the man was a machine, and let’s not forget behind this machine is a great woman,
our condolences go out to Margaret and the family. Rest in peace John, your legacy will live on.

John was our former President, Chairman, Standard Bearer, Poppy Appeal Organiser and active Branch Member for well over 30 years.
He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Thursday 19th January 2023 at 11.30am in the Rowan Chapel at Stockport Crematorium.
Would be good to see branch members and friends attending to show our respects.

Great service this morning for a great man, it was a privilege to escort him on his final journey. Your chatter your advice and most of all friendship will be
missed, his legacy will live on, many thanks to the standard bearers who turned up today, John would have appreciated the turn out, as well as branch members that could make it, I know it was also much appreciated.
