Haughley held its traditional remembrance service at the village church organised by the legion. Haughley and Whetherden scouts, Explorers, Haughley United youth football club and public joined us for a smart walk from the post office, past the war memorial the on Duke Street and into the church. The service led by Rev. David Swales was based on funny enough, remembrance. During the service Adrian Morris, president of the branch read out the names of the fallen with a member from the scout organisation who laid a poppy at the alter. The crisp autumn day allowed us to gather around the memorial to lay wreaths and remember those who sacrificed everything for our today.
