On Monday 4th Aug 2014 at 10pm many members from the branch and the village gathered at the war memorial for the #lightsout service to commemorate the start of WW1. The candle light service led by our very own Rev. David Swales to remember the 31 men from the village who laid down their lives. Each soldier was honoured individually with a candle exstinguished and a cross placed on the memorial. This left 5 minutes for reflection till the exact moment 100 years after the outbreak of WW1.
