When you have finished with your Legion magazine what do you do with it? Maybe you pass it on to somebody who has an interest in the Legion or it goes in the recycling bin?
We've come up with a initiative to encourage children to look at the magazine but also to help with their reading. Once a member has finished with their magazine instead of placing it in the recycling bin they pass it to the branch who then passes it onto the year 6 class at our local school Crawford's primary school.
This is a great way of introducing children to the Legion while showing them the Legion is campaigning all year round and not just at remembrance.
This is another way of strengthening our links with the school and the local youth population.
