REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY AND ARMISTICE DAY
Remembrance Sunday, is held on the second Sunday in November to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in wars and conflicts.
The event overseen by the Harwell Parish Council, supported by the Royal British Legion Branch as a joint effort, and comprises of a parade along the High Street to the Village War Memorial, where a service is held including, the two minutes silence and laying of wreaths. This is followed by a service in St. Matthews Church.

On Armistice Day itself, 11th November, Legion Members hold a short ceremony at the War Memorial.
