On Saturday 9th April
2011 Mrs Carol Bratty who is the Secretary/Welfare Secretary
and the Poppy Appeal Organiser for Hardwicke & District Branch,
did a sponsored Tandem Sky Dive in aid of the Poppy
Appeal.

Carol's jump took place
at 29 Regt at South Cerney, Gloucestershire, the weather was
perfect, bright blue sky, warm sun and very little
wind.
Carol boarded the aircraft
with her jump instructor Steve Jelf at 9 30am. They then
climbed to 12,000ft and then launched. The whole event was filmed
by another Skydiver called Big Al who also captured the images
here.

By 10 am Carol was back on
firm ground wearing the biggest smile you can imagine, her first
comment was "That was fabulous"!!

As a result of this brave
effort by Carol, the Hardwicke and District Branch Poppy Appeal
raised several hundred pounds towards our record Poppy Appeal total
for 2011 of £19,303.71.
