Halstead Royal British Legion Branch -
Remembrance Day 2021

The Branch came together at the site of the Old Post Office on Halstead High Street to mark the 11th November Remembrance Day.

The bells of St. Andrews tolled and the last post was played by Ian Coote (pictured above).

The Halstead Royal British Legion Branch Chairman, Tony Jones BEM, presided and many other ex-armed forces members turned out for the day.

Vice-Chairman of the Halstead Branch, Stephen Arundell, was the Standard Bearer for the event and Rev'd Jo Parrott conducted the brief service in the form of a prayer for peace and remembrance. 

Many attended the event and workers from local shops came out to stand for the 2 minutes silence.
