Sunday, 13th November 2022

Morning

09.30 am         Civic Party (for the Old/New Cemeteries service) arrive at the Guildhall.

09.50 am         Civic Party leave the Guildhall.

10.10 am         Services at Old/New Cemeteries.

10.30 am         Guests and attendees to Gloucester War Memorial in Gloucester Park.

10.45 am         ARRC Representatives arrive at War Memorial in Gloucester Park.

10.48 am         Civic Party arrive at War Memorial in Gloucester Park.

10.52 am         Service Starts (Mayor in situ) – Salvation Army Background Music

10.53 am         Rev Bruce – Call to Worship

10.55 am         Bible Reading

10.56 am         Hymn

10.58 am         Remembering – The Right Worshipful Mayor of Gloucester, Councillor Collette Finnegan

10.59 am         The Last Post

11.00 am         The Silence

11.02 am         The Reveille

11.15 am         Service Finishes (approx.)

Lunchtime

11.30 am         Mayor, Sheriff, Chaplain, HMLL, HS, COM ARRC, Chief Fire Officer, Chief Constable’s Representative arrive at Guildhall.

11.40 am         Parade assembles on Constitution Walk (path behind the Museum of Gloucester along old bowling green).

11.52 am         HM LL, HS, COM ARRC, Mayor on the dais (RBL behind).

11.58 am         Parade departs from Constitution walk (eyes right at Dais outside The Guildhall).

12.20 pm         Parade ends in Cathedral Grounds.

Afternoon

14:00 pm         Mayor, Sheriff, Chaplain, MP, Managing Director, Cllrs, Directors, arrive at Guildhall – robing and briefed by City Marshall (David Baldwin).

14:30 pm        Civic Procession – (all above) process to Cathedral

14.40 pm         Civic Procession arrives at the College Green.

14.40 pm         Civic Procession ALL TO BE SEATED IN THE CATHEDRAL (apart from the civic procession who will be attending the Hussar’s Memorial Service on College Green)  

Representative of HM Lord Lieutenant, High Sheriff of Gloucestershire and Representative of Lt Gen COM ARRC are invited to be present at the Wreath-laying at the Hussar’s Memorial at 2.45pm and will then be escorted to their seats by the Dean through the South Door after the short ceremony.

14.48 pm         Last Post/Silence/Reveille.

14.58 pm        Procession into Cathedral via South Door

15.00 pm        Remembrance Day Service.

16.15 pm         Civic Tea Reception at Guildhall (de-robing etc.).
