The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

Our Remembrance service commenced at 10:55 on Sunday 12th November. The Army Cadet Force band, accompanied by cadets and local organisations, marched from the drill hall to the Memorial Theatre for the service. Many 100s from our local community joined us there and then afterwards in the Assembly Rooms.
