Minutes of the Meeting: Held 16 October 2013

 

Meeting Opening: Meeting opened at 19.10 Hrs. The Act of Homage was duly observed.

 

Present: There were 13 members present. Roll call available from the secretary

 

Apologies: There were 5 apologies. Roll call available from the secretary.

 

Minutes of the last meeting: Proposed by M Stracey, seconded by W Carline, that the Minutes of the Previous Meeting be passed as read. Carried.

 

Matter arising:

 

All completed poppy selling rotas to be handed to David Warburton.

The poppy selling prices list was reviewed and prices agreed. Unfortunately there are no poppy keyrings.

 

The chairman spoke of a gentleman who is willing to assist with poppy sales at the Asda supermarket.

 

David Warburton confirmed that poppy selling at Crystal Peaks will commence on October 26 at 09:00 hours. He then gave details of how to register cars for extended parking at Crystal Peaks.

 

David Warburton, spoke about overnight trolley storage at Sainsbury's, and the timetable for setting up the tables and equipment for poppy selling in Marks & Spencer's and The Market.

 

The chairman gave details of a recent branch meeting, including details on door-to-door canvassing, an upcoming standardbearer course, overview of national accounts, and the updated Pathway to Growth. He also pointed out that there are now new branch contact names and at single contact number.
