The Branch has undertaken a number of social and community based events over the years, for example taking part in Shrewsbury Carnival in 1988 and the Hog Roast at Oxon Touring Park in 2019.
More recently fund raising coffee mornings, lunch club gatherings for members, partners and friends and Christmas meals have added to the social events list. The Branch have also challenged the local bowling club to a game or two.

Events with Guest speakers have also taken place in the last year or two.

On Friday 6th October, 2023 members, friends and supporters attended a fascinating presentation by Darren Edwards.
'Strength through Adversity' is his tag line, which is very apt. Proceeds from the evening were donated to the Poppy Appeal.

On Monday 27th October,2025 members, family and friends made a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
