History

The Fleet, Crookham and District Branch is one of the oldest in the country having been established on 24 June 1921, six weeks after the Legion was founded.  The branch's clubhouse closed in 1999, since when the Branch's activities have centred on:

  • Organising the annual local Poppy Appeal collections.
  • Organising Remembrance events in Fleet and Church Crookham.
  • Maintaining the Legion's profile in the community through liaison and cooperation with the local authorities and other voluntary organisations.
  • Providing comradeship for local members through monthly social events.
