“To honour the fallen – a lasting legacy”

To commemorate the centenary of the end of WW1, some friends of the Farnborough Legion Branch (alongside our other ongoing fundraising events) wish to raise funds to install a commemorative window at North Camp Methodist Church. Today, North Camp Methodist Church is the spiritual home to this branch of the Legion as well as being the spiritual home for the many soldiers and their families who have been stationed in Aldershot Garrison over the years.

We successfully managed to complete our project and the window was dedicated during Remembrance Sunday just after the 2 min silence.

The plaque alongside the window reads:

 The Lasting Legacy Window

To commemorate the 100 years since the end of the

Great War 1914 –1918.

That we may honour and keep alive the memory of

those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Commissioned by a dedicated group of Farnborough British Legion members and funded through grants and donations from the local community.
