The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
Eastcote Remembrance Sunday Parade & Service 10th November 2024
- Location. Eastcote War Memorial. Members of the public are invited to return to the Eastcote Royal British Legion Club in Southbourne Gardens after the ceremony.
- Timings.
- Those involved in the parade itself will be assembling opposite Eastcote Library for 10:20
- Members of the public are advised to arrive no later than 10:50
- The ceremony itself will take place from 10:58 until around 11:30
- On conclusion of the ceremony all are welcome to return to the club
- Warm and wet weather clothing. It is an outdoor event with no shelter. As it can be cold and wet in November, members of the public are advised to bring suitable outdoor clothing
