East & West Ardsley

On Sunday the 30th September 2018 The Royal British Legion organised a parade on the 100th annivery of the ending of WW1 and also the 100th anniversary of the forming of the Royyal Air Force.    

The following took part in the service that was held in Victoria Square in Leeds- - The Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire Mr Edmund Anderson, The Lord Mayor of Leeds Councilor Graham Latty and the Lady Mayoress Councillor Pat Latty, The Bishop of Kirkstall Rev Paul Slater,The Chairman of South and West Yorkshire Rpyal British Legion Christine Spencer and finally The President of the Leeds Group Royal British Legion Col Alan Roberts OBE.

The service commenced at 11.00am with an address by the Lord Mayor of Leeds followed by the service conducted by the Bishop of Kirkstall.  At the of the service wreaths were laid by all the dignitaries.
