On Sunday the 5th February 2017 the 43rd anniversary parade and service took place on the westbound services at Hartshead Moor on the M62 motorway.
The service was conducted by the Chaplain of Spenborough Branch, Royal British Legion Mr Terry Brewis. The address was given by the Mayor of Kirklees Cllr Jim Dodds BEM. Principle guests attending were Deputy Lord Lieutenant Major David Wroe MBE and Mrs Jacquie Wroe. The Mayor of Calderdale Cllr Howard Blagbrough and the Mayoress Mrs Catherine Kirk. The Mayor of Kirklees Jim Dodds BEM and the Mayoress Mrs Carol Dodds. The Mayor of Oldham Cllr Derek Heffernan and the Mayoress Mrs Di Heffernan. The Mayor of Rochdale Cllr Raymond Dutton and Mayoress Mrs Elaine Dutton.
During the service the names of all the 12 that were killed in the bombing were read out which included 9 service personnel, one of the wives and their two children.
