The Poppy Appeal in 2025

Karen Toney manages the Poppy Appeal in the East Preston and Kingston District and gave the following update post the 2025 Poppy Appeal:

The 2024 final total for East Preston and surrounding district Poppy Appeal was an amazing £14469.61. This included the QR code payment method which produced £401, which was a significant increase on the previous year. This and the card machines are continuing to assist the public to donate easier, which make a significant difference to our totals.

The Littlehampton Armed Forces Day in June was a great success the weather being good to us. The Branch brought more recognition to the Legion with the spitfire and tank display and the visit of Churchill.

This year l am so pleased and proud of our community to say that when the final total including the QR code and card reader totals are added we will have raised an amazing £12500.

I am looking forward to next year.
