Remembrance

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

This year two services will be taking place in Great Dunmow

Armistice Day

On Saturday 11th November 2023 from 1050hrs there will be a short service at the War Memorial, to include a two minute silence at 1100hrs and the firing of the maroon.

Remembrance Sunday

The main Act of Remembrance will take place from 1045hrs on Sunday 12th November 2023, commencing with the Town Council, Royal British Legion and uniformed services processing along the High Street to the War Memorial.  This will be followed by a short service, two minute silence and the laying of wreaths.

All welcome.

Please be aware that that the High Street will be closed shortly before and during these events, with a diversion in Place.
