Armistice Day 2023

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance. We currently hold Remembrance events for:

1st July - Battle of Somme, we hold a small Act of Remembrance in Dromore Square at 11am.

11th November - Armistice Day, we hold a small Act of Remembrance in Dromore Square at 11am.

On Remembrance Sunday, (second Sunday in November) we, along with the Nation pause to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today. We parade down from Hillsborough Road into Dromore Square for the national two minute silence at 11am. We are joined by other organisations that all lay wreaths at the War Memorial.
