I attend this event this as a virtual guest and have made a few notes.
National Vice Chairman took the meeting as Chairman unwell.
Update of `One Legion` Strategy.
Board Impressed by Members.
Modern revival of the RBL for the 21st century and change of working, with Gary Ryan as new Director.
Grow more Public Support.
Understand and adapt to the needs of the Armed Forces Community.
Collaborate with our Partners, Members, Volunteers, Staff, Fundraisers and Supporters.
To raise £14M over the next three years for this.
Live our Values of the `One Legion` Approach to support and develop great people.
Changes to the Excitative Board.
Closing Offices and moving to more Regional Hubs which will be Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, London and Manchester, to save Money and Time.
Secondary Offices closed.
Regional and County Offices to be reviewed by County Chairman, who will need to prove they must be kept open in the next few weeks or they will also be closed.
All 15 Pop-in Offices (and 2 in Scotland) will be closed.
More centralised Welfare Centres to improve Welfare for Armed Forces and Families to improve from 17 to 3 days waiting times for response and to redesigned to support `Service Not Self` and the `One Legion` Policy.
Customer Focus Welfare delivery.
Making it easier for Benefits including Pensions.
Hybrid Working (mainly for Staff).
Improved Membership Communications from September 2021.
Maintain the Legions focus on Key Moments such as Remembrance and the Poppy Appeal.
Full Cenotaph and Remembrance Services Events by November 2021.
The meeting finished with a Q& A Session, but this was just a few of them that I felt may effect us as members.
Membership Service Officers are NOT being made redundant as they are very important.
Branch Meeting to go ahead as soon as we feel save to do so and following any Government Guidelines.
More is going to be done to make Membership go digital to encourage Younger members whilst still encouraging Comradeship for the older members.
There will be Training Reviews for Members which will hopefully all sorted by October.
