It is with great sadness we note the Passing of Prince Phillip.

Our county Padre Sally, has compiled an up to date list of Norfolk commemoration services for HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Please remember that attendance at any service is as an individual, there is to be no formal RBL representation unless specifically requested by the Lord Lieutenant or Civic Authority. As most churches will have limited capacity, it is recommended that you contact the relevant church ahead of the service.

A Choral Evensong in commemoration of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will be live streamed from Norwich Cathedral at 6pm on Friday 16 April. The service will be attended by invited guests representing different organisations across the Diocese of Norwich.

Following the service, the Cathedral will be open to the public until 9.30pm for people to light candles, offer prayers and reflect on the great contribution HRH The Duke of Edinburgh made to our country.

Eternal God, Creator of the universe and Lord of all life, we remember the life of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

We give thanks for his long life, for the love that he received from you and showed among us.

We recall with gratitude his devotion to duty, his service in the Royal Navy and his support for many causes.

And now we pray that he may know the joys of your everlasting kingdom, where sorrow and pain are no more.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, our Lord. Amen.
