Diss Armed Forces Day on Saturday 29th June.

Please come and support Diss Armed Forces Day, organised by Diss & District Royal British Legion, (with Support of Diss Town Council) at Diss Market Place.

RBL will have a stall with a Tombola with some great (well O/K!) Prizes, plus a WW2 Lorry with display and hopefully the Staff car that was at the Diss D-Day event, plus the opportunity to ask about the Work of the RBL and chance to join the Branch.

Also attending will be Diss Royal Air Force Association, where they will have their famous RAFA Ducks, (no bath should be with-out one!), plus you can learn about the work of RAFA and if a Royal Air Force Connection, a chance to join their Branch.

They also hope that there will be representation from RAF Honnington, but this will depend on Operational Requirements.

Diss Air Training Corps will hopefully have their Flight Simulator (weather Permitting), plus an opportunity for the youngster to learn about what the Cadets do and the chance for parents to ask the Staff about the ATC.

Also attending will be the Diss Army Cadet Force, who like the ATC. are based at Sunnyside, and again a chance for Youngster and Parents to learn what the Cadets do.

Both Branches are affiliated to the RBL and Paraded at the Diss D-Day Beacon Lighting Event.

The event will be at Diss Market Place from 10:00 to 16:00, plus the opportunity go look at the War Memorial at St Marys, Diss and remember those citizens of Diss who gave their lives for their country. 

From 11:00 the Diss Museum will be open, so the opportunity to learn about the History of Diss.

There is Parking less that 5 mins away in two South Norfolk Car parks, which allow one hour free Parking.
