Debenham Youth Football Club Presentation Day 18th June 2016
During the recent Debenham Royal British Legion (RBL) Committee meeting on Thursday 19th May 2016, it was recommended that the Debenham Branch organise a social event by way of attending a local village event that is already being organised, with the hopes that our branch members would like to meet and greet the committee members. We made an important decision last year to expand and develop the Branch as the grumble had been that ‘nothing ever happens’. We have a duty then to make things happen if we truly believe in survival! We think we have made a good start – but do you agree? We need to know what you think, so please let us know!
So, we have decided that the next up and coming event that is being held is the Debenham Youth Football Club Presentation Day which is being held on the 18th June starting at 12:30pm. This is an open event enabling all Debenham Youth football players from the age of 5 upwards to engage in some friendly football matches at Debenham Leisure Centre, and finish off with some football medals and trophy presentations to some of the years’ star players. We of course do not need to participate, however, we thought it would be a great idea to have this taking place in the background as it would also give everyone an option to participate and enjoy the community spirit of this event.
As this event is an open event, there will also be a B-B-Q, fun games for the kids and the Leisure Centre bar will also be open for business.
