Dawlish

Remembrance 2019

The cadets, staff and volunteers at ATC 2401 Squadron once again created an amazing poppy man but this year it was inspired by Piper Bill Millin who lived in Dawlish from 1963 until his death in 2010. The Poppy Piper, as he was called, had a total of 475 poppies to create him.

This year our local police joined in the with the poppies and had one of their vehicles wrapped in poppies. It took pride of place at the front of the parade on Remembrance Sunday.

The turn out for the parade and memorial service at the War Memorial outside St Gregory's Church was another record. We want to thank everybody for the support.
