80th D-Day celebration will be on Thursday 6th June on the Lawn Dawlish
The programme will be as follows;
8am D-Day 80 Proclamation by Town Crier
9am - Rising of the Flag and Act of Remembrance at the Piazza
10/10:30am Marquee opens - display by Dawlish Museum - flag making/craft making by Dawlish Library
11am Poem for Schools D-Day Heroes (activities in the marquee with library)
2 performances by Sandy Sparkle - time to be confirmed
2pm talk - D-Day remembered - talk by Gaz Chatterton
3pm Afternoon Tea in the marquee - Dawlish WI to set up possibly for evening
Marquee Close 4/4:30pm
Possible Library continues flag making activities in library
6:30pm St Gregory’s Bell Ringers - Ringing out for Peace
7-9pm Exmouth Town Band - Bandstand or Marquee - 2 sessions 40 minutes with 10 minute break
9:10pm Bagpipes on Lawn
9:15pm International Tribute and beacon lighting
