Below is a list of Remembrance dates for your diary.

Saturday 3rd November 2024 - The Field of Remembrance will be opened by the The Worshipful, the Mayor of Darlington, Councillor Bob Donoghue, at the Cenotaph in the grounds of Darlington Memorial Hospital at 3.00pm  

 

Sunday 10th November 2024 - The official Service of Remembrance will be held in Holy Trinity Church, Woodland Road, commencing at 10.00am 

Immediately after the Holy Trinity Church Service of Remembrance, the Remembrance Parade will form on Vane Terrace and then march, via Woodland Road and Hollyhurst Road, to the Further Act of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in the grounds of Darlington Memorial Hospital.    This Further Act of Remembrance will incorporated the 11.00am Two Minutes Silence and will be followed by the usual laying of wreaths

 

Sunday 10th November 2024 - There will be a Service of Remembrance at the West Cemetery War Graves, Carmel Road North, at 2.30pm

 

Monday 11th November 2024 -  Armistice Day - Two Minute Silence Act of Remembrance will be held at 11.00am in the Darlington Town Centre on High Row - Opened by The Worshipful, the Mayor of Darlington, Councillor Bob Donoghue,

 

Monday 13th January 2025 - There will be a Service of Remembrance to mark the 80th anniversary of Pilot Officer William Stuart McMullen, 428 Sqn CAF, sacrificing his own life to save the town of Darlington at 8.49pm on 13th January 1945 – The Service will be held at the McMullen Road Memorial, starting at 8.30pm

 

Saturday 14th June 2025 - Middleton St George Memorial Association Service of Remembrance - St George Hotel, Durham Teesside Airport, Middleton St George, Darlington.  Meeting 10.00am for a 10.30am start
