The Commonwealth War Graves Commission, have approved for Darlington Branch of The Royal British Legion, to publish photos and information of War Graves and Memorials, of Darlington Born Military not buried in the Darlington area

From: Darlington, County Durham, England
John joined the SAS in 1980.
He was one of 21 who died aboard a Sea King helicopter that crashed into the sea of the Falkland Islands on 19th May 1982
He rests at sea along with his comrades and the wreck of the Sea King

John is remembered on the Falklands Conflict Memorial in Alexandra Gardens, Cathays Park, Cardiff, Wales.
John is remembered on the 1982 Liberation Memorial, Stanley, Falkland Islands, where the names of the 255 British military personnel who died during the war are listed on ten plaques behind the Memorial
All British military personnel who died during the war are remembered at the National Falklands Memorial, the National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire, England

John is also remembered on a War Memorial Plaque at the school he attend. Haughton Academy, The Education Village, Haughton-Le-Skerne, Darlington, County Durham, England
