There will be a wreath laying ceremony at 10.45 am on Friday, 15 August at the Thiepval memorial, off Montgomery Road, Belfast.

All welcome, blazers and medals should be worn.

Westbourne Presbyterian Church-Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for VJ day.

You are cordially invited by Westbourne Presbyterian Church to a Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for VJ day.

The service will take place at 11.30 am on Sunday 17 August in the East Belfast Network Centre, Templemore Avenue where the church is currently holding their services.

The church has been a great and faithful supporters of the Poppy appeal, and it would be great to see you all there to give support back to the church and to remember our comrades.

Blazers and Medals can be worn.

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
