Knitted Poppies

As part of the ‘Thank You’ Campaign Cotgrave Town Council have asked the Cotgrave community to knit as many poppies as they can manage. There are 3 patterns which are available from Cotgrave Library, All Saints Church and the Post Office. Other outlets for patterns will open as the year develops. The Poppies will be displayed attached to some fine green netting and what is needed now is for you all to start knitting, spread the word and recruit others knitters. 

As of 12/05/2018 we are having a good influx of poppies and we are beginning to attach them to the display netting to build the poppy waterfall, this means that we can no longer count them but there must be well over 1000 now with contributions coming from neighbouring villages and even some knitters from other counties - Keep it up we need thousands by November!
