Branch Garden Party

Welcome to the Cinderford Branch of The Royal British Legion

Pims, Pork Roast & Pudding

Garden Party to recognise the battle of the Somme in July 1916

Well the weather was the winner, Wimbledon would have been proud, if we had had covers they would have been on and off throughout the event. In true fashion we battled through.

Finally we got outside, and enjoyed the Ukes uv Azzard in the fresh air. Cinderford Band had played inside in the Church through the worst of the weather. The food was good, Pimms was appreciated and the Puds went down a treat. To all who attended we thank you for your brave support, laughter in adversity, and wonderful humour. For £5, Pork, Pimms, Pud; what a bargain.

The Garden Party would not of taken place without the help of those members, friends and family, who spent time and money, to move things forward. They know who they are and rightly should take a private bow. They provided raffle prizes, puddings, and labour for the event.  Thanks go to all he local businesses that supplied items for the garden party.  Too many to mention, but all are named on our facebook page

Last but not least, for all the people who bought tickets and raffle tickets, we thank you for the support the Royal British Legion receives in Cinderford and its surrounds, it amazes us at your generosity. Thank You All !

Cheers !!
