The Minden Band of the Queen's Division in Concert to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Royal British Legion and of the Chatteris Branch which was also formed in 1921.

We were honoured to be joined by the Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Captain Victor Lucas and his wife Diana Lucas. Captain Lucas presented Veterans Badges to:  Ken Bailey  -  5^th Suffolk Rgt (FEPOW), John Childs  -  Royal Artillery, David Barker  -  RAF, Steve Malpass  -  RAF, David Kelley  -  RAF Regiment and to Mrs Molly Hammerton, posthumously for her husband Philip Hammerton

A Certificate and Badge for Life Membership of the Royal British Legion was presented to Mr Ken Gowler, President of the Chatteris Branch. Ken was born in 1921 a few months before the formation of the British Legion and of the Chatteris Branch

A wonderful evening of music by the very talented Minden Band of the Queen's Division was enjoyed by all those present and raised a brilliant sum of £658 for the 90^th Anniversary Poppy Appeal. Grateful thanks to all concerned
