CHATTERIS ARMED FORCES DAY - 2011

Chatteris Branch and Women's Section Royal British Legion commemorated Armed Forces Day on Fri 24^th June. A short ceremony was held at the War Memorial led by Rev. Sladden and a wreath of fresh flowers was laid by Sqn Ldr Incledon-Webb and Branch Vice President Richard Mandley. We were joined by members of the RAF and RN based at nearby Wyton and by the Mayor of Chatteris Peter Murphy. Students and Headmaster Jed Roberts from Cromwell Community College were at the event and their Certificate of Affiliation was signed and presented. This was followed by "Tea on the Green" in front of the Church
