Chatteris

The Royal British Legion celebrates its 90th year of helping our heroes from all conflicts. The Legion still supports those who served in the Second World War and from all other conflicts since. Sadly there are no longer any veterans from the First World War alive today.

Currently the Legion is doing amazing work for those of the 'Afghan Generation' of the Armed Forces

Poppy Awards 43.JPGChatteris Branch also celebrated its 90th Anniversary on 30th June 2011. It is one of a few Branches nationwide which have had a continuous local presence for the whole 90 years.

We are extremely proud and thankful to the people of Chatteris for their generosity and support to the Branch over the years

Our past Branch President, Mr Ken Gowler, was born in January 1921, just a few months before the Legion was formed in May of that year. He was an adrent supporter of the Royal British Legion and is in attendance at all our Branch events
