Mersea Island CO5 8RU Remembers
In these images its high (spring) tide BUT when the tide is out hereabouts the soldier silhouettes placed on the mudflats by the Strood are a poignant reminder of the terrain of Flanders’ fields 1914-1918. That’s more than one hundred years ago now but still remembered by Mersea Island's Branch of the RBL – and many, many others worldwide.
