Below - the possibly unique modern Memorial erected in Great Bromley, CO7 7TY in north east Essex.

The modern War Memorial pictured above, behind the village's traditional Memorial to those who died in two World Wars, was commissioned in 2014 by Great Bromley's Parish Council, with the approval of the RBL, to commemorate the beginning of the 1st World War. It was designed by Peter Scott who subsequently has sadly died. We in Byfield & District RBL thought that this Council's initiative in bringing Remembrance up-to-date deserved a wider audience, which hopefully its inclusion here will provide.
