Looking over no man's land I see a vast expanse of deserted emptiness.
Every day I look over it reminds me of my friend who went through pain and finally died.
Old rotted trees stand motionless in the mud.
Nothing is growing.
All that remains is a big muddy field.
That doesn't matter... All I care about is if I am here...

This poignent work was hand written and signed "Callum"; it included a good drawing of a WW1 Soldier and was obviously meant to be that Soldier's thoughts at the time.
