Our District's Children were the best. Led by extremely conscientious "grown-ups", our Schools, Beaver Lodge, Cub Scouts and Scouts held their own ceremonies at different times but all remembered and in their own way successfully kept the traditions of Remembrancetide, as the RBL now likes to call this time of year. You'll note there's a dog in the line-up of Boddington School's attendees at their ceremony on 11th of the 11th at 1100. That's Monty, he's a Member of Boddington's School Staff and their Wellbeing Officer. Here he represents all the animals, especially those of the 1914-18 war who died in great numbers.

Others around our District showed their support by creating their own wreaths, and decorating their windows for all to see. The night before, even our street artist was painting away. Many people appeared in their doorways to publicly observe the silence and others watched and listened, because there was a good deal of media coverage of events around our nation.
