Visit to the Branch

2025 Invictus Games Team leaving for Canada
On Monday 7th July, the Branch Committee were delighted to welcome Burnham resident Sara Howarth, a member of Team UK at the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada. Sara was accompanied by her sister, Kate Becker, who also attended as Saras support person. Sara is still attending Therapy at the Battle Back Centre and is an incredibly positive person.

Team Silver Medal Winner!

UK Wheelchair Curling Team Celebrating the Team Success
Sara and Kate gave a wonderfully descriptive presentation of Saras journey from her 'exploding brain' as she so descriptively put it, to travelling to Canada and winning a Silver medal as part of the UK wheelchair Curling Team. She spoke of the support, the therapy and the encouragement given to her by the Royal British Legion, and for the members of the Branch who were present during the meeting, it gave a clear picture of where our fund raising goes and how it helps service personnel. A truly motivational evening.
