Hello again, friends!!
We hope you may be able to join us at the Relais de L'Oust near Josselin on Tuesday the 13th of July for a coffee or a glass of wine OUTSIDE the Relais at about 2.30 pm. This means, if you would like to come, we can all be together and have a chat after all this time, and if you would like lunch too, then you can have that first inside. The menu follows here below and I expect you will all understand, but if you don't please ask us -
Et ceux qui souhaitent manger vers midi/13H c'est possible nous proposons des formules en semaine :
Plat du jour à 9,80€
Entrée + plat ou plat + dessert 12,80€
Entré + Plat + dessert 15,80€
But please remember the outside seating is limited, so if you care to book your place with us, it would be a good idea.
Later, we hope to open our garden to everyone for a 'bring your own' picnic, or you could bring (or we could collect for you) a Chinese take-away. But there is no fixed date for that yet because the weather continues to be unsettled; at the moment it looks good for the 13th, and we hope the weather will become better later on. It should as it is summer!!
Remember the vet's breakfasts at St Lubin continue on some Saturdays. They have outside seating now as well as inside.
Best wishes to you all and keep well,
Rodney (Chairman) and Kate
NEWSLETTER - February
Dear Members of the Royal British Legion and 'my Poppy Friends'. Your Chairman and the committee would like to wish you all a belated happy New Year and let's hope this year will be better for all of us.
As we are unable to meet at the moment because of the horrible virus, Rodney and I have been trying to think of ways we can keep in touch. The latest idea is, to ask you to send by email a favourite photograph you have taken. Our President, Gordon Rayfield, has agreed to judge the entries with his wife Suzanne, and he suggests it would be a good idea for them to be poppy related, but that is not essential. There will be no prize except for the glory of winning. Please send your photographs to Rodney or me, by March the 23rd, and we will forward them to Gordon and Suzanne, of course without your names, so they can judge fairly. The winners will be announced and the winning pictures displayed at Easter. Although we are not having meetings at which to raise money for the Appeal, donations are still arriving from time to time, which is lovely and so kind.
Also, please do let us know if you do not want to receive these newsletters, or indeed if you receive it twice. And don't forget we have some poppy items here and can now order wreaths, crosses etc that you may need from HQ.
Best wishes to you all on behalf of your Chairman, Rodney.
Kate
