Bredon Hancock's School Remembers

Welcome to the Bredon Branch of The Royal British Legion

Bredon Hancock's Endowed CE First School lies in the shadow of Bredon's lovely chuch spire.

One of Class 5's projects in 2010 was on Remembrance, which they descibe on their own website thus:

Remembrance Day: 11 November

Poppy Field

For Remembrance Day, we wrote our own prayers and created a Garden of Remembrance. Each child in our class took the name of someone who has died in conflict since the First World War from our village and made a poppy in remembrance of their sacrifice.  We were amazed at how many people from our village had lost their life representing our country.

Remembrance Day Activities

We will end our topic with a VE Day party and cook party food using rations available during ther war.  We will also sing some songs and play games that were popular during the time.
