Brampton and District Royal British Legion: 90-Mile Cycle Challenge

Help Ian Support Brampton and District Royal British Legion: 90-Mile Cycle Challenge

On July 5th, Ian Howkins-Griffiths is embarking on an exciting and meaningful challenge – cycling 90 miles from Brampton Village to the National Memorial Arboretum, and Ian needs your support. This long ride is not just about pushing my physical limits, but about raising funds for a cause that is close to my heart: the Royal British Legion.

The Royal British Legion has been a cornerstone of support for our veterans and their families, offering assistance, care, and vital services. As a community, we owe so much to those who have served our country, and this charity ensures that no veteran is ever left behind.

The Royal British Legion is dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for us. They provide financial aid, mental health support, social activities, and a place of comfort and camaraderie for veterans. However, they cannot do this alone – they rely on donations and fundraising efforts to continue their incredible work.

That’s where Ian comes in. On July 5th, Ian will be cycling a challenging 90 miles to the National Memorial Arboretum in a single day. This is an important site that commemorates the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces. As a retired serviceman, this is not only a personal challenge for Ian but a way to honour our veterans and raise much-needed funds for the Royal British Legion.

Here’s how you can help:

Donate to the cause: Every penny you contribute will go directly to supporting the Royal British Legion. Whether it’s a small donation or a larger contribution, no amount is too small to make a big difference.

Spread the word: Share my page with friends, family, and colleagues. The more people we can reach, the greater the support for this fantastic cause!

Encourage others to get involved: If you’re a fellow cyclist, consider taking on a challenge yourself, or even create your own fundraising page for the Legion. The more we can all do, the more lives we can touch.

To make it easier, we have set up this GoFundMe page where you can donate securely online. My goal is to raise as much money as possible to ensure that the Royal British Legion can continue to provide essential services and support to our local veterans.

This will be a tough ride, but it’s nothing compared to the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces. Your support will help Ian push through the pain and reach the finish line, knowing that we are all helping to make a difference.

Thank you for your generosity, support, and encouragement. Together, we can ensure that those who have given so much for our country receive the care and recognition they deserve. Let’s show our veterans that they will never be forgotten.

Donate now, and help make a lasting impact.
