Meet the Committee
Andy Welch - Branch Chairman
I have been a member of the RBL since I left the Royal Navy in 2004. Having recently retired I find myself with more time to dedicate to the Branch and help further the aims of the RBL.
I served in the Royal Navy from 1980 until 2004, all of my time spent on Submarines or in Submarine related jobs. Since leaving in 2004 I have had a few Jobs, predominantly in the care sector helping young people with extra needs. I have been a Pub Landlord in Boston and very recently worked at Dobbies as Santa Claus (Shhhh, don't spoil the magic!).
As Chairman I want to build up our membership after it declined steeply due to the Covid Pandemic. I also want to get the RBL message out there, tell people what we do and who our beneficiaries are. So look out for us at community events.
