A commemorative paving stone was installed as a visible and perpetual legacy for the town and future generations of James Henry Finn's act of conspicuous bravery.
The stone was unveiled by the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE.
In attendance were the Branch Chairman, Squadron Leader Stanley Beighton MBE; Branch Vice-chairman,
Lieutenant Colonel John Hilton who acted as Standard Bearer;
Warrant Officer Andy Eke who acted as Parade Marshall;
Colin Stevenson; Jim Brandon; and Joan Francis .
