Blyth, Northumberland

Most associations rely on a voluntary committee, to organise their club/society ... and the RBL is no different.  To try and give current and potentially new Branch members, an idea as to who are the Blyth Branch committee members, I've included some details below:

Sean Robinson, Ex Royal Navy, 1990 to 2012

I joined the Royal Navy as a Communications Information Systems Specialist and completed a full 22 years engagement, leaving as a Petty Officer.

I have served wrldwide onboard HMS York, Glasgow, Invincible, Nottingham, Somerset, Montrose, Southampton, Exeter and Richmond.  Also various shore based establishments in Portsmouth, Plymouth, London and Scotland.

After I left the Royal Navy, I worked for Blyth Town Council as an Environmental Services Officer leaving in October 2017 to look after my autistic son.

I became aware of the new branch been set up in 2018 and joined shortly afterwards.  Since I’ve joined and met new friends, I decided to become more involved and took over as Branch Secretary in March 2019.

As the branch goes from strength to strength, with the increase in new members, this will have a positive impact on our town which I am proud to be part of.
